DOES THE ACADEMY TRAIN NJ BEGINNER ARTIST ?

The academy currently does not offer Beginner Training for those seeking to open their practice in the state of NJ. However – you may click here for a current list of NJ AAM Platinum Trainers who offer training which meets the required NJ regulations.
We do offer Advanced Masterclasses for NJ Artist whom are already AAM NJ Gold Certified.

I LIVE OUT OF STATE , MAY I ENROLL IN THE BEGINNER COURSE ?

Yes – the academy does train and out of state students. A lot of our students come from neighboring states, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Rhode Island, and other states.
The first step in the process would be to perform a due diligence search for your state/local regulations; to become familiar with what the laws require in order to open a PMU clinic in your desired location. Provided all is well, and our training program meets or exceeds the necessary requirements – we then move to the enrollment process.

Both the AAM & SPCP have a resource page, to assist in researching your state regulations. Be sure to fully read & also contact your local health authority for confirmation of your findings. You may click AAM or SPCP to begin your search.

If you need help/clarification – we can setup a discovery call, however you must inquire with info of your findings.

WHO CAN ENROLL IN THE ADVANCED MASTERCLASSES ?

Masterclasses are only for artist who are already trained/certified and/or have experience in the field. The Masterclass does not offer hands-on model work for the students, however the instructor will perform a live client demo. Masterclasses are not for beginner students

WILL I BE CERTIFIED AFTER COMPLETING THE COURSE ?

The word “certified” is commonly used and often misunderstood. Once students have fully & successfully completed our 7-Day Ombre Brow Beginner Course they will receive a Certificate of Completion. It is then, that students may seek the “Certified” status through one or both of the industry leading boards; the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP) or the American Academy of Micropigmentation (AAM). Both the SPCP & AAM offer membership, which is highly recommended to set you apart from the rest

WILL I RECEIVE A KIT ?

Yes, of course!! Students who successfully enroll in the Ombre Brow Beginner Course will receive a Premium Starter Kit with everything needed to successfully jump-start their PMU journey. Students enrolling in a Masterclass also receive a Advanced Artist Kit.

IS A FLEX SCHEDULE AVAILABLE FOR THE BEGINNER COURSE ?

Great Question!! With the demands of modern day life, we understand completing the entire process in one clear shot can be a very hard task- but we have good news!! Once enrolled – Students have 1 full month to complete the required prerequisites. Once class begins, students must attend the 7 days on site to learn the theory & practical knowledge. Flexibility comes with the clinical portion; Students are able to take their time with completing the supervised model clinical sessions. We recommend completing asap, most students complete within 6 months. Once completed the “Certificate of Completion” is issued.

WHAT IS THE INSTRUCTORS TEACHING STYLE ?

We realize all students learn differently & at different paces. Some students may be visual learners, auditory learners, read/writing learners, or kinesthetic learners (meaning they learn by hands on experience) – It is our goal to work with each student at their level, and bring them to their full potential.
Due to the nature of the training students are strongly encouraged to be open to all methods. The artistry of Permanent Cosmetics requires the skill of reading/writing theory course material, in addition to listening to live lecture, visually learning by way of instructor performance & last but not least, hands on learning with live models.
